These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the NVX mobile application ("App") provided by Vector Dynamics Group Limited ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using NVX you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Important Safety Disclaimer

NVX is an aid to navigation only. It is not a substitute for official nautical charts, proper navigational equipment, sound seamanship, or good judgement.

• Always carry and consult up-to-date official charts and publications as required by maritime regulations.
• Electronic charts may contain errors or omissions. Cross-check positions with independent sources.
• Do not rely solely on NVX for collision avoidance, anchoring decisions, or passage planning.
• The skipper is responsible for the safe navigation of the vessel at all times.

3. License

We grant you a non-exclusive licence to use NVX on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms.

4. Restrictions

Don't use NVX unlawfully. Open-source components are covered by their own licences (see About in the app).

5. Chart Data and Basemap

The basemap and charts, including those from the in-app chart store or that you import, are provided for reference and may contain errors or be out of date. Check them against official sources before relying on them for navigation.

6. Pricing and In-App Purchases

Optional chart packs are bought through the in-app chart store using Google Play Billing. Prices are shown before purchase. Google Play's terms apply to payment and refunds. This does not affect your statutory rights.

7. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

We do not promise that NVX will be error-free or uninterrupted. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your licence to use the App ceases immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Updates apply from the date posted on this page and do not affect rights you already have.
